Oboe audition master classes

Christoph Hartman, oboist of the Berliner Philharmoniker, offers great advices in these master classes for those preparing for oboe auditions. These videos focus mostly on the audition materials for the YouTube Symphony Orchestra 2011 but his suggestions can be used for any audition.

The first video covers the Mozart’s Oboe Concerto in C major, K. 314.

The second video covers¬†Rossini’s Overture “La Scala di Seta”, Richard Strauss’s “Don Juan,” and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4.

Below are the pdf files with the excerpts presented on the videos. These pages were obtained from the YouTube Symphony Orchestra materials:

About paulomusic

I'm a musician at heart with a passion for playing and for musical instruments. I used to play the oboe professionally for many years but stopped when I started a PhD in educational psychology. Now, I want to bring the music back to my life and also share some ideas about it.
